About Guideline Records
When was Guideline Records started?
Benson Guideline had the idea of starting a record label for years, mainly influenced because of the Blamed Tour in 1999 booked by our friend Christian at Roughtruth (he sings now for Today Forever). In Summer 2002, Benson moved to Karlsruhe to work for Pleitegeier Records and learn how to run a record label. At that time he did some small distribution stuff, some tour promotion for Norma Jean's first European tour, got Figure Four the deal with Kingfisher Rec. and booked their first European Tour. Guideline started to release records in Summer 2002, with Point of Recognition's „Day of Defeat.“
Is Guideline Records a christian label?
Benson Guideline, the owner and founder of Guideline Records, is a Christian and so is his band, Opposition of One, but we don`t just sign Christian bands.

Demo Submission
How can I submit a demo? How do I get my band signed to Guideline Records?
If you are a dedicated band that rocks and has something to say, then send us a package and make sure to include:
1. 2-3 of your best songs on a CDR or cassette
2. Lyrics for all songs sent to us
3. A band bio
4. A photo of the band with the current line-up
Please keep in mind that nothing that you send us will be returned. Please do not call or e-mail us asking if we have received your demo. We listen to every demo we get and will contact you if we are interested in working with you.
Is it true, that you only sign christian bands?
No, we also sign non-christian bands like More Than Ever. We sign bands because we see their potential and that they have something to say.
